Super sophomore class

The sophomore class in Arkansas is expected to be a great crop, though many things can happen to change the outlook in the next two years.

Pine Bluff quarterback Claude Johnson, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, is probably the closest thing to Vince Young this state has seen. He isn't as tall as Young, but he has many of the same skills showcased by Young while leading Texas to a National Championship.

In addition to Johnson, the sophomore class also features North Little Rock quarterback Corbin McCuien, 6-0,170, and Warren quarterback Hayden Smith, 5-10, 175. Smith put on a show Monday night in an easy win over Sheridan. McCuien followed Coach Brad Bolding from Mayflower to North Little Rock.
