Marve out of cast; McKenzie gets brace off

The cast and neck brace are gone.

Freshman quarterback Robert Marve and freshman receiver Jermaine McKenzie, who have been out of commission since a July rollover car accident, have returned to practice without any protective gear.

Marve is out of a cast that he wore protecting a broken wrist, and McKenzie's neck brace protecting hairline fractures is also off.

Both players were dressed today but worked on the side with the other players currently rehabbing injuries.

"I am wearing two wristbands and a glove," Marve said. "It feels good. I think it's a blessing that I'm back on the field. I have to get my mental reps down now. I've been throwing in 7 on 7."
