Bradford Postgame: 'Room to improve'

Sam Bradford has burst onto the national scene after his first two games in a Sooner uniform. The redshirt freshman has surpassed all expectations through three games as the OU signal caller and he continues to make this team an early favorite for the BCS Championship game in January.

Through three games Bradford has now completed 59-of-74 passes for 823 yards, 11 touchdowns and one interception. After his third straight impressive performance against Utah State on Saturday, Bradford spoke with members of the media.

Q: Have you surprised yourself at all?
Sam Bradford:
Our coaches have done a great job and I'm just kind of playing in the system right now and going through all of my reads and making smart decisions. I'm just playing it one play at a time so it just kind of feels like I'm out there doing what I'm supposed to do right now.

Oh yeah, I mean those guys just did a wonderful job today. Our offensive line opened up big holes and we have five running backs, if you give them the grass they can take it the distance at any time. Those guys ran really hard today and just did a wonderful job today.

Q: Were you in the same type of rhythm or did it seem just as easy today as it did in the first game?
Nothing's easy at all, but I got in that rhythm early and I got a lot of confidence and saw things clearly and I did get out there and felt really comfortable today.
