Nguon's Notebook: Cal now No. 6
The injuries continue to pile up for the Cal football team. On a day where the AP Poll moved the Bears up to No. 6 in the nation after having beaten Louisiana Tech pretty handily 42-12 Saturday afternoon, several players - including starting defensive end Rulon Davis - gingerly stepped onto the field with more than just a t-shirt and shorts. Cal head coach Jeff Tedford updated his team's status.

For the case of Davis and starting defensive tackle Matt Malele - who both suffered possible season-ending injuries to their respective foots - their ability to get onto the field again this year is still up in the air.
"Tomorrow we'll get MRIs on both of them," Tedford said after the team's workout Sunday evening. "We weren't able to do anything with them today. But tomorrow we'll definitely know more."
