Steeples excited about Tiger start

DeSmet CB Robert Steeples has been one of the biggest supporters of the Missouri Tigers this year. It's no surprise then, that the Tigers' 3-0 start has excited Steeples for the rest of the year and for the years ahead.

Steeples alluded to the young talent of the Tiger defense and said that he understood that young players take time to become leaders. He added that he saw the potential for a great defense in small doses.

Steeples was encouraged the first time he saw the Tigers' in person this year at the Illinois game, but he laughed when he promised it would not be his last time watching Missouri in person. He said he looked forward to his next trip to Columbia to watch Missouri with a few future teammates.

Along with his fellow Tiger commits, Steeples said he planned on taking his official after the season. He said he hasn't worried about it too much and his talks with Cornell Ford have been pretty laid back.

Before he gets to Missouri, Steeples said he has to finish his senior season at DeSmet. Steeples said that he has been having a good season with his teammates, even if he has had to start a little slower than the rest of the team.
