Panthers fall hard at Virginia

For those fortunate enough to have ESPNU or to be in Charlottesville, those viewers caught a microcosm of Pitt's problems this season, in a 44-14 loss at Virginia For those even more fortunate, without ESPNU or not at the game, they were able to miss Pitt being embarrassed for a second week in a row. The loss drops the Panthers to 2-3.

"I don't believe the way we played, that we're as bad a football team as we've showed in the last two weeks," Pitt head coach Dave Wannstedt said. "But, we are what we are. We haven't given ourselves a chance to show what type a team we can be."
