Thoughts on Kansas State

Kansas State isn't too far away from being an undefeated team right now. They have played two tough road games against Auburn and Texas. They had the lead late into the game against Auburn, which is their only loss on the year.

Kansas coach Mark Mangino talked about what he has seen on film from the Wildcats so far.

"Kansas State is playing at a high level and played well in all three phases of the game against Texas," Mangino said. "On offense they throw the ball with Josh Freeman and Jordy Nelson is a talented player. They have capable running backs. On defense they are aggressive and play sound football. They put pressure on you in a variety of ways. They are a good team, but we feel we are a good team too."

Special teams big for Kansas State

The special teams have been a big part for the success of Kansas State. They have been solid on kickoff and punt returns this season.

Last week against Texas they returned a punt and kickoff for a touchdown. On their punt return unit they keep two players back to increase the percentages of a better return.
