Mountaineers bounce back in big way

SYRACUSE, NY-The best way to get over the frustration of a loss is often to take it out on someone else.

West Virginia did that Saturday at Syracuse, cruising to an easy win.

On the opening drive, Syracuse drove to near midfield before senior safety Ryan Mundy intercepted Andrew Robinson's pass and returned the ball to the Orange 37.

Senior fullback Owen Schmitt picked up his first touchdown of the season off of the option toss from junior quarterback Pat White exactly three minutes into the game. Junior Pat McAfee's extra point made it West Virginia 7, Syracuse 0.
