Jeanpierre, Brown win O-Line Sweepstakes

In South Carolina's version of 'Survivor,' Lemuel Jeanpierre and Seaver Brown have emerged with the top prize - a starting berth on the offensive line in Saturday's 12:30 p.m. game against Vanderbilt at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Brown, a redshirt freshman from Clearwater, Fla., will start at left guard, while Jeanpierre will line up at right guard when the Gamecocks face the Commodores in a key SEC contest.

"(Jeanpierre) looks pretty good on times," Spurrier said. "But if he'd been looking super, he's been playing all year right there. Sometimes, it finally clicks. Sometimes they start playing better. So, we just keep giving guys chances."

USC enters Saturday's game at No. 6 in the BCS standings behind Ohio State, South Florida,

Jeanpierre's selection is the most surprising considering the redshirt sophomore from Orlando, Fla. didn't play a single snap against Mississippi State and Kentucky, and just three snaps in last week's 21-15 victory at North Carolina.
