Scouting Richmond County at Scotland County

Last Friday was a chance for The Wolfpacker to attend one of the best games of the high school football season in the state of North Carolina - Richmond County vs. Scotland County. The Scots hosted this year's game in Laurinburg in front of a capacity crowd. Scotland County has linebacker Terrell Manning committed to NC State. Here is a scouting report on the game.

The Game

Richmond County came into the contest having won 12 straight against their archrival. Both teams were 8-0 and 4-0 in the Mid-Southeastern Conference.

A 47-yard fumble return by Raider defensive tackle Jeremy Harden, who was picked to the Shrine Bowl, helped Richmond County take 13-7 lead in the second quarter, but the Scots got the last score of the half, a 7-yard pass from Walt Clark to Donte Prince. Scotland County led 14-13 at the break.
