Keys to the game: NC State at Miami

When the schedule first came out for the North Carolina State football team, it would have been easy to mark a road game at the University of Miami as an unlikely game to win.

Now that the game is a day away, NC State enters the Orange Bowl on Saturday with all kinds of momentum due to a two-game winning streak over likely bowl-bound opponents East Carolina and Virginia.

The noon start will also prove beneficial - what opponent wants to play Miami in front of a packed crowd at nighttime? The Hurricanes also are coming off their bye week with all kinds of questions, similar to the Wolfpack two weeks ago.

Win an ACC road game

NC State did a good job of defeating East Carolina in a fired up setting for its first win over a Division I-A opponent in over a year. The Wolfpack recorded their first ACC win against Virginia at Carter-Finley Stadium last week. Now, the next step is to get a win on the road in the ACC at the historic Orange Bowl, which only has two home games left in its existence. Miami closes out the Orange Bowl against Virginia on Nov. 10.
