Game Notes: Buffs no match for Missouri

BOULDER, Colo. - If it weren't for an early interception and blocked punt, which set up scores, the Buffaloes would have likely been shut out on Saturday. On the other side, Missouri's well-oiled offensive machine produced 598 yards of offense and seven touchdowns. The final score read Missouri 55, Colorado 10.

Below are notes and quotes from the game:

*** Missouri's Chase Daniel was as good as advertised. The junior quarterback completed 26 of his 44 pass attempts for 421 yards and five touchdowns. His lone interception was on a tipped pass. Daniel also gained 38 yards on the ground.

"He is pretty darn good," Colorado head coach Dan Hawkins said when asked about Daniels after the game.

"And he has a good team, too. They have really good personnel and they have a really good scheme and they understand how to run it."

*** Senior defensive tackle George Hypolite recorded his first career touchdown just two plays into the game. Cornerback Terrence Wheatley tipped a Chase Daniel pass and Hypolite picked it off to set up Byron Ellis' touchdown run with 13:27 left in the first quarter. It was the first interception by a CU defensive tackle since Brandon Dabdoub picked one off at Texas Tech in November of 2003.
