Norfolk (VA) Maury High School's Vinston Painter will take his second official visit of the year this weekend.

His first was to Virginia Tech; this Saturday he'll be at the Orange Bowl for UM's final game there before moving to Dolphin Stadium.

"I thought that would be a good time to go, would be one of the most electrifying games they've had all year," Painter said. "I know a lot of great things have happened there.

"I always enjoyed watching Miami football when I was growing up - it was always one of my favorite college football teams. Miami and Virginia Tech were always my favorites."

Painter says the Hokies are his current frontrunner. He's also considering Florida, Georgia and Penn State.

"Right now Virginia Tech is my leader because I did take my official visit there, enjoyed it," he said. "You could say they're way in front."

Miami hopes to make up some ground this weekend.
