Bowl is the Goal

Will the third time be the charm for Oklahoma State?

The last two games, the Cowboys have tried to become bowl-eligible. It almost happened against Texas, but that fell apart. Then the next week against Kansas, OSU played flat early before making a run only to flame out.

Now comes chance three against Baylor tonight at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco, Texas. Win, and the Pokes will make a bowl for the fifth time in six years. Lose, and it forces OSU to try and defeat Oklahoma next week in order to get the magic win No. 6. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. and will be televised on Fox Sports Net.

Last week, the Bears showed a little spunk in the first half against the Sooners before losing, 52-21. Quarterback Blake Szymanski passed for 280 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions against OU.

This should be a very winnable game for the Cowboys (5-5 overall, 3-3 Big 12). But they've struggled of late and there's no telling what attitude the Bears (3-8, 0-7) will come in with, since head coach Guy Morriss is expected to be on his way out after the season.
