Grading the Bulldogs

Rushing Offense (B)

Knowshon Moreno picked up his fifth straight 100-yard game (22 carries, 124) yards to tie Herschel Walker for most consecutive 100-yard games by a freshman, while Thomas Brown added 73 yards on 22 attempts.

Both players scored touchdowns, but a fumble by each pushes this week's rushing grade down to a B. Moreno's fumble inside the 10-yard line wasted an early opportunity for points by the Bulldogs, who were set up nicely by Asher Allen's 82-yard kickoff return.

Passing Offense (C)

Not much in numbers here as Matthew Stafford struggled with consistency in the first half, and wound up completing 12 of 22 passes for just 99 yards with two interceptions. He was also sacked a couple of times.

To his credit, Stafford played better the second half, completing 4 of 5 passes for 73 yards.

Granted, Georgia did not have to throw the ball too much against the Wildcats and their porous run defense, but Stafford admitted after the game that he was not anywhere near as effective as he needed to be.
