Egnew enjoys weekend in Columbia

Earlier this summer, Plainview (TX) WR Michael Egnew decided to make a commitment to Missouri on an unofficial visit to Columbia. This past weekend, Egnew was back on campus for his official visit and he said that he had the same kind of fun that encouraged him to commit in the first place.

While in town, Egnew got a chance to meet a lot of his future teammates. He said that he enjoyed the opportunity to meet with many of his fellow commits as well as a few members of the 2008 class that hadn't made a decision yet.

Egnew also spent time this weekend talking with his host at Missouri, Marquis Booker. The two enjoyed hanging out and Egnew added that he did learn one important thing from Booker while the two got to know each other.

Over the weekend, Egnew said that Booker introduced him to several other Tigers. Egnew said it was good to meet other players on the team. He added that it was good to try and begin a rapport with his future teammates.

Last week, Egnew was visited by Dave Steckel from Missouri on an in-home visit. Egnew said that he enjoyed the visit from the coach and it was nice to see him again this weekend. He added that he got a chance to have good conversation with several coaches this weekend.

Egnew reaffirmed his commitment to Missouri this weekend and said that he couldn't imagine going anywhere else. He added that all that was left was to make it official.
