Dantonio sees promise and opportunity for young players

Transition is the name of the game in college football and each year a number of players graduate or leave the program giving a new crop of players an opportunity to step up contribute.

Michigan State head football coach Mark Dantonio addressed the personnel situation at his season-ending press conference Monday afternoon at the Breslin Center.

While a number of offensive and defensive linemen along with key players at wide receiver, tight end and linebacker will be moving on the Spartans have a wide array of young players who have been working and waiting in the wings for their chance to contribute for the Spartans.

"We have players in the program who will take steps forward," Dantonio said.
