Everything was perfect for Pugh in Athens
One of the out-of-state commitments made his visit to Georgia this weekend and everything went well. Charlotte (N.C.) - Independence defensive back Makiri Pugh spent the weekend in Athens and everything was perfect. He talks about his visit inside.
"I got down to Athens around 5pm Friday night and went out to eat with the other commitments (Nick Williams, Xavier Avery and Bacarri Rambo), the coaching staffs and all the families were there too."
"We had a good time there and then we went over to Coach [Mark] Richt's house to hang out and to have dessert. It was a great dessert spread and we had a lot of fun. Coach Richt had the Hawaii and Florida games on, we played some darts and just hung out. It was cool."
Most of Pugh's time on campus was spent with the other visitors who happened to all be committed to UGA, but he had some time with his host as well and Rennie Curran showed him a great time and told him a little about Georgia.
"Rennie was my host and he is a celebrity around there," Pugh said laughing. "Everybody knows Rennie, everybody recognized him and everybody would say hey to him. It was crazy, but he is a cool guy."
"He showed me around town a little and he told me how much he loves Georgia. He thinks they have a great program and they run a great system just like I do."
