Free safety or cornerback for Jamie Robinson?
With the graduation of Roger Williams, and very few options on the recruiting trail, it looks like there could be serious depth issues at free safety this fall.
While a lot can change between now and the season opener, there is one personnel move that could give the position shot in the arm.
When he was a Rivals100 member coming out of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina, most figured Jamie Robinson would play safety in college. But from the day he was offered a scholarship by Florida State, he had his mind set on playing cornerback for defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews. However, thanks largely to injuries, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound defensive back has yet to make a serious dent in the secondary.
