Is UF commit looking at UGA after offer?

Florida picked up a commitment recently from a talented athlete in South Georgia, but now the home-state Bulldogs have decided to get into the mix. Greg Reid picked up an offer from Georgia on Friday, but do the Dawgs have a shot?

"Georgia sent me a written offer on Friday," said Reid. "I had talked to Georgia a little bit and they came by the school one time in January, but I was very surprised by the offer."

"I didn't really know if they liked me or not and I did not think they were going to offer me. I just did not expect it, but it was cool."

Now that the Dawgs have offered, will he give them a look even though he is committed?

"I am still committed to Florida and that is the school I always dreamed of playing for, but Georgia is the state I live in, they have a great team, and I want to go up there to visit now that they have offered."

The 5-foot-9, 178-pound skilled athlete is out of Valdosta (Ga.) - Lowndes that borders the state of Florida, so he has never visited Athens before.

"I don't know what it is like at Georgia, but I have heard from one of my good friends that it is great," Reid said. "Michael Gilliard is from Valdosta and he visited Georgia a few weeks ago and he loved it. He said it is great up there and that I need to check it out."
