Nunes stays hot

If you had any doubts that quarterback Josh Nunes (6-4, 205, 4.8) from Upland, Calif., is one of the hottest quarterbacks in Southern California then those doubts must be disappearing because Nunes has notched another offer and is getting a lot of recruiting action.

"Josh received his sixth offer this morning ( March 13th 2008) from the University of Utah," Upland assistant coach in charge of recruiting Mike Esquivel said. "Coach Aaron Roderick called Upland Head Football Coach Tim Salter to tell him the news. Josh had an opportunity to speak with Coach Roderick to inform him that he will be making an unofficial trip to visit the University.

"Just 10 minutes before Utah informed Josh about their offer," Esquivel said. "He spoke to Boise State's Head Football Coach Chris Petersen in the Upland Football Office.

"Coach Petersen informed Josh about their style of offense and that there quarterbacks in the past ended their career at Boise State in the range between 9,000 to 10,000 Yards passing.

Utah joins San Diego State, Colorado, Arizona, Stanford and Hawai'i, as teams that have already offered Nunes a scholie.
