Nunes lands No. 20

It is another day in the life four-star quarterback Josh Nunes (6-4, 207, 4.85) from Upland, Calif., and ho hum another offer making it number 20 for the talented signal caller from the Inland Empire. Nunes is busy this weekend competing in Santa Barbara, Calif., in quarterback guru Steve Clarkson's Super 7 quarterback camp. The best in the nation are there to compete.

This past Thursday afternoon Nunes received his 20th offer from Duke. Offense coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper extended an offer to Nunes after watching him throw in the hail and rain Thursday afternoon at Upland High School.

"Coach Roper told Coach Tim Salter (Upland Head Football Coach) and I, that it only took him two minutes to realize that Duke University needed to offer him," Upland assistant coach/recruiting coordinator Mike Esquivel said. "With the rain and hail pouring Josh was lights out in his performance this afternoon and impressed Coach Roper in live action. He compared Josh like many other coaches have said already to Peyton Manning. Peyton is one of Josh's favorite players in the NFL as well."
