Spring Spotlight: Ricco Sanders

We hit the road daily starting in mid April through late May tracking down some of the top prospects in the country. We watched many talented athletes go through spring practice to get a better evaluation of their talent. Inside the Spring Spotlight feature you will see exclusive video, photos, player analysis, and more on the talent we see. The prospect in the spotlight this time is Ricco Sanders.

Prospect: Ricco Sanders

High School: Byrnes - Duncan, South Carolina

Class: 2009

Position: Wide Receiver

Vitals: 5-11, 190-pounds, 4.45

Offers: Auburn, Clemson, Florida, FSU, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Favorites: Clemson was the early leader, but he says all are even at this time.

Colleges in Attendance: North Carolina

Practice Observations: Sanders ran crisp routes, and generally showed good hands in windy conditions. He excelled at the jump ball, and caught a couple that normally could not have been reeled in. Even though he is not a big receiver at 5-foot-11, he plays like a much larger target. Sanders may need to work on speed to create separation, but showed nice movement over the middle. Is a solid target who should excel as both a wideout and return man for perennial powerhouse Byrnes this year.
