Norman talks more about I-State offer

Chamblee (Ga.) running back Warren Norman was told this day would eventually come, but after months of waiting for his first scholarship offer, the 5-foot-10, 188-pound prospect started to get nervous. On Tuesday that finally came to an end when a Big 12 school became the first program to extend Norman an offer.

Upon receiving his mail from the postman on Tuesday, Warren saw a letter from Iowa State. Inside was a scholarship offer in his name to attend their university which brought a wave of relief over the Peach State product.

"It feels great," Norman said. "It seems like ever since the season ended everybody's been telling me I'm going to get so many offers and all that. For me to hear all that then it didn't happen until just now, it feels great to get that off my chest."

The letter contained a few details about the offer and what prompted the Cyclones interest, but Norman is going to give the coaching staff a call to find out more.

"I do plan on calling them sometime soon," Norman said. "They said they liked my tape and have been evaluating me for the past couple months."
