Beno showed out at Dawg Night

A prospect many would not have expected to hear a lot about going into the final Georgia camp over the weekend was Raymond Beno. Beno has quietly reeled in a dozen scholarship offers including a big one last week. The gritty football player looked to be a player on a mission in Athens and that mission was successful.

"I think I did very well at the Georgia camp," said Beno. "I did what I had to do, I competed a lot, and my overall camp experience was pretty good. I think I did real well in all of the drills and especially the one on ones."

The 6-foot-2, 283 pound offensive lineman out of Newnan (GA) may have even surprised himself with his dominant performance.

"I think I really over-achieved my expectations at the camp. I did better than I expected to honestly. I think I did extremely well and I am proud of myself. I just wanted to compete and I worked hard all camp. I really enjoyed it out there at Georgia."

The day before the camp, Beno picked up a big offer from an ACC school based in South Florida. That offer brought him up to an even dozen.

"My newest offer is from the University of Miami and that came last Thursday," he noted.
