Bruins go long ball

The Bruin offense was successful during Monday's 7-on7 with the deep ball. Quarterbacks Ben Olson, Kevin Craft and Nick Crissman all hit receivers deep for scores. The defense had their fair share of good plays, too. All in all, the players had a lot of fun last evening and were very loose and relaxed.

Three older players have to be mentioned for their leadership during these workouts. Senior safety Bret Lockett has been like a coach out there constantly mentoring the younger players. He was giving Rahim Moore a lot of coaching and Moore was eagerly taking it in.

When you have that type of older leadership mentoring younger players who want your job, you are doing what is best for the team, special things can happen. It is a good thing to see Lockett out there coaching these guys. He may have a future in the coaching profession once his playing days are over.
