Is ISU still on injured LB Tharp?

It has been a tough couple months for Mulvane (Kan.) outside linebacker Huldon Tharp. The 6-foot-0, 208-pound Tharp has come to terms with the fact that he will miss his entire senior season, but there is a bright light on the horizon - a future playing college football is still intact.

"I tore my ACL about six weeks ago," Tharp said. "It was the first practice at our full contact team camp. I'm not playing senior season, but I am way ahead of schedule on my rehab and everything is going great to have a full recovery. All the colleges have decided to stick it out with me, so everything is going to be fine. It's really not as serious of an injury as it used to be. I'll be running in three months."

Tharp currently holds eight scholarship offers and they are from Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Stanford, Boise State, Colorado and Colorado State and Miami.

"Colorado just offered last week. That's the newest one," Tharp said. "I let Colorado know (about the injury) before they offered and they still sent me an offer."

The offer from Iowa State was one of Tharp's earliest. He has not visited the Cyclones' campus yet, but does have them under consideration.
