Monday morning update: Injuries and freshmen

Gary Pinkel fielded questions on the Big 12 coaches' teleconference Monday morning and there were a number of roster updates from the coach.

First of all, on the injury front, Van Alexander is unlikely to return in time for this week's game.

Other than Alexander, wide receiver Danario Alexander is the only player Pinkel listed as definitely out.

A couple of more freshmen could make their debuts soon. Pinkel said that receiver Wes Kemp will definitely see action this season and safety Kenji Jackson could still lose his redshirt. Jerrell Jackson and Michael Egnew will also play at wideout.

Pinkel also said that the Tigers are still waiting on eligibility questions with Rolandis Woodland. Pinkel said he hoped to have the issue resolved by the end of the week.
