Kansas gets commit from linebacker

Prior to tearing his ACL earlier this summer, Huldon Tharp was one of the most heavily recruited players in the state of Kansas. Despite his injury, Kansas continued to remain in contact with the 6-foot-0, 208-pound outside linebacker from Mulvane (KS) High School. KU's efforts paid off on Monday night, as the three-star prospect, who is ahead of schedule on his injury, committed to the Jayhawks just moments.

The spring and summer didn't go quite as expected for Tharp. After an impressive junior season, the talented outside linebacker from Mulvane (KS) High School had received scholarship offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Stanford and Boise State.
