Four-Star Sooner isn't resting on his laurels

Few players in Oklahoma's talented class of 2009 have taken conditioning more seriously over the past few years than Las Vegas Bishop Gorman four-star defensive end Justin Chaisson. The 6-foot-5, 252-pound pass rusher tried to take a little bit of time for himself this summer after making his commitment but it just didn't take.

"I had a little bit of fun, you know I went and hung out with the family a little bit but I made sure I got in the workouts I needed to," Chaisson said.

Then again there was a reason that the Rivals250 player was so busy preparing, unlike players from Oklahoma and Texas the Gaels have already gotten a start to their season. And their start was in big fashion.

"It was (last) Saturday night and we played in Phoenix, where the Cardinals play, we ended up losing 16-6, our offense was having some trouble," he explained. "Overall it was a great experience.

"It was pretty cool, they set it up like an NFL game, they had cameras everywhere. I think I finished with 4 pass deflections, and a fumble recovery."
