Patterson still looking at State

When Patrick Patterson made the decision a couple weeks ago to decommitt from Mississippi State many people thought the Bulldogs were out of the picture for the four-star receiver.

On the contrary.

Patterson verified that MSU is very much still alive on his radar along with Alabama, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Auburn and LSU.

"State is still in the picture," Patterson said. "I'm still going to give them a look. I'm going to wait and take my visits. I'll make my mind up on signing day."

The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder from Macon, Miss., said that Alabama, Southern Miss and Ole Miss have been showing the most interest.

Patterson commented that the most important factor for his college choice would be the coaching staff.

"I'm just looking at the coaches," Patterson said. "I just want to go somewhere where they've got good coaches, coaches that I can just sit down and talk to."

Patterson also said he does not have any visits planned and would likely wait until after Noxubee County's season is over to take his official visits.
