Recruiting Op: Cornering Carroll

Randall Carroll flies by opponents at redline speeds, but while being fleet of foot is often deadly on the football field, a misguided weapon will kill those who wield it.

Is Carroll's 10.42 100-meter time a prelude to Primetime, or the missing link in USC's offense?

As with the recruitment of all high school athletes, variables such as depth, attrition and scheme come into play. USC lacks depth at cornerback, but the Trojans' shallow pool of talent in the secondary will be filled next season.
