Jay sets date for visit to UGA
Georgia has made it clear to Rivals250 offensive tackle J.K. Jay that he is a priority to them. Once he opened his recruitment back up, the Dawgs called extending an offer.
Jay has now set that date for official visit and UGA will be totally focused on him.
"I will be visiting (official visit) Georgia on the weekend of November 22," said Jay Thursday night.
Jay graduates just two days later on November 24, so he is working to get his recruitment behind him as soon as possible so he can prepare to move to the college he chooses the first week of January.
Clemson is still on top at this time, but Georgia making a strong push.
"Georgia is recruiting me real hard now. I have gotten an email from Coach [Stacy] Searels every day asking me to call him and I got eight hand-written letters from all the coaches today."
Jay is still getting attention from many other programs like Miami, Kentucky, and Wake Forest amongst others, but no other visits are set at this time.
Originally he planned to be in Athens a week later for the Georgia Tech game on November 29, but that visit may or may not take place now.
The 6-foot-7, 288 pound OL out of Christ Church in Greenville (S.C.) is a member of the Rivals250 and he is currently rated the no. 15 offensive tackle in the country.
