Tuesday practice report
The Crimson Tide practiced Tuesday in shells (helmets and shoulder pads) at Thomas-Drew Practice Field for it's first practice of the bye week. Here are a few notes from the media observation period from BamaOnLine.com.
***Roy Upchurch returned to the practice field in a white jersey signifying he was ready for full contact. Upchurch, who missed the past two games with neck spasms, had practice in black all week in preparation for Mississippi State.
***Barrett Jones and Tyler Love both continued to practice in black non-contact jerseys on Tuesday. Both freshmen have been in black for the past few weeks with Jones having shoulder problems and Love dealing with a stress fracture.
***No members of the team wore scout team jerseys on Tuesday. Members of the scout team will be more than likely show up next week in preparation for the Iron Bowl.
***The Crimson Tide had to practice in cold conditions on Tuesday with the temperature being in the mid-40's with wind gusting up to 20 mph. The Crimson Tide were in pants instead of the usual shorts.
