Sooner Commitment Staying up on BCS
A lot of high school prospects probably had bigger fish to fry than agonizing with the rest of the college football faithful about just how things would play out in the BCS. For Dallas South Oak Cliff four-star safety Kevin Brent he wanted to know just what would happen following the Sooners 61-41 win over Oklahoma State.
The Rivals100 defensive back recently saw the completion of his own season in the first round of the Texas high school playoffs says he is enjoying Oklahoma's late-season run.
"I've been trying to keep up with all of it, after the (Oklahoma State) game I got on ESPN from my phone and was trying to see what was happening," Brent said. "I don't really know what to make of what happened but I'm glad it worked out for Oklahoma."
Recently Brent got to see the Sooners in person for the second time this season as he took his official visit to Norman for the Texas Tech game. He was hosted by a player that he figures to be competing with next summer.
"Oh yeah I enjoyed myself," he said of the trip. "My host was Joseph Ibiloye, he is a pretty cool person.
"I really liked the atmosphere at the game. That was the big difference in this trip, I just really got to see the crowd and enjoy the game."
