Goodson not expected to be back next season

Amidst plenty of speculation, it appears that the chances of Texas A&M running back Mike Goodson returning to College Station for a senior season are growing slimmer by the hour. Monday while addressing the media for one final time this season, A&M head coach Mike Sherman said that he doesn't expect Goodson back next season.

"No I don't (expect Goodson back). It's a combination of things," Sherman said.

Goodson rushed for 406 yards and five touchdowns on 94 carries in 2008. He also caught 37 passes for 386 yards and three touchdowns.

Goodson, however, may not be the only Aggie not back next season. Sherman is meeting with every player on the Aggie roster, and he has drawn a line in the sand, so to speak, about his expectations for the A&M program.

Either meet those expectation, or find somewhere else to play appears to be the message.
