Western Kentucky Preview
Mississippi State will have one more tune up before entering conference play for the rest of the regular season.
The Bulldogs will play on only a days rest when Western Kentucky comes to town tonight at 7 p.m. on CSS. MSU is coming off a convincing 82-65 win over Houston on Saturday and will look to close out the non-conference slate with back-to-back victories.
"We have a quick turnaround for a very good Western Kentucky team," said Bulldog head coach Rick Stansbury. "They are a team that has already beaten Louisville and Georgia. They've got really good guard play. They are tough and can shoot the three. It's going to be a tough matchup in here for us (tonight)."
State enters tonight's matchup with a 9-5 record and averaging 74.4 points a game. The Bulldogs are hitting 45.2-percent of their shots including 34.9-percent from behind the arc. They also drain 68.7-percent from the free throw line and outrebound their opponents by 2.3. Mississippi State is holding their opposition to 64.5 points per game this season.
