Four-star WR talks about his visit
Meridian four-star wide receiver Chris Smith headlined the weekend commitments that visited Mississippi State this weekend.
The 6-foot-1, 191-pounder could not wait to get his mother to campus so she could see why he loves the university so much. The Smiths both left very happy to be future members of the Bulldog family.
"I think I'm going to have a time up there," Smith said. "For the most part they were just explaining how the program is going to be. They explained to my mom what they expect out of us. They showed us a lot of different things that I have never seen like the academic center. I have never been there."
Smith was hosted this weekend by another wide receiver, O'Neal Wilder. He stated that he had a great time hanging out with Wilder and the rest of his future teammates.
"I had fun with them," Smith said. "We went to a couple of parties and stuff. It was fun."
Smith also got a boost of confidence Saturday afternoon when he and the rest of the recruits walked into Humphrey Coliseum to a standing ovation from the home crowd.
