Mississippi State will attempt to make it three in a row tonight taking on traditional powerhouse Kentucky.
The Bulldogs have won the past two meetings but still trail Kentucky by 65 games in the series since the two teams first met in 1921. MSU also has not won in Lexington since a 76-71 victory in 1995.
The Wildcats hold the series lead 84-19.
Mississippi State enters tonight's game after falling out of the top spot in the Southeastern Conference Western Division following their 67-63 loss to Ole Miss this past weekend. The Bulldogs are 14-7 overall and 4-2 in league play including 2-1 on the road in the SEC.
MSU is averaging 73.8 points per game and shooting 45.3-percent from the field this season. The Bulldogs have drained 36.8-percent of their shots from the outside as well as knocking down 70.1-percent from the free throw line. They hold opponents to 65.5 points a contest but have been outrebounded by an average of 0.9 on the boards this year.
