Carr coming to junior day at Miss. State.

West Point (Miss.) athlete Michael Carr was one of four players Mississippi State offered on Sept. 1, the first day that juniors could be given scholarships.

The multitalented 6-foot-2, 190-pounder came very close to committing to the Bulldogs immediately following the offer but decided to wait and see what else might come in.

Now six months into the recruiting process and the wide receiver/ cornerback prospect still holds the lone offer from the Bulldogs.

"State is the only one I am hearing from right now," Carr said. "I'm going to their junior day and spring game too."

Carr has received letters from the likes of Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and UCLA but has only heard from Bulldog head coach Dan Mullen.

"He came to the school and talked to me," Carr said. "He just said that he was looking forward to me being a Bulldog."

Carr has not set a timetable on when he would make his commitment but stated that "Right now I am thinking about staying close to home".
