Offer coming soon for Easterly?
Last Saturday, Bret Bielema and Wisconsin coaching staff hosted a handful of uncommitted out-of-state prospects during their final junior day of the spring.
One player expected to be in attendance was Daniel Easterly of Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech. Due to a scheduling conflict, however, Easterly was unable to make the trip to Wisconsin to take in the sites of Madison.
Monday night, BadgerBlitz.com caught up with Easterly to discuss his thoughts on a possible offer from the Badgers.
"I'm in contact with Coach (DelVaughn) Alexander pretty much every day," said the 6-foot-4, 178-pound athlete. "Coach Del is great. They are talking about offering me. I have a feeling an offer is on the way. He's tells me how I could be a great asset to their team."
Easterly, who already holds scholarship offers from Illinois, Minnesota and Toledo, is excited about a possible scholarship offer from Wisconsin.
"I really like Wisconsin a lot," he said. "It's funny because I was actually just on the Internet with my dad looking at the facilities and campus. We were both very impressed. That's a school I'm going to visit for sure. It's one of the top schools on my list."
Although Easterly was unable to make a trip to Madison last weekend, he took time to shed some light on his trips to Columbus, Ohio and South Bend, Ind.
"I've been to junior days at Ohio State and Notre Dame," Easterly said. "I like those schools. The campus and facilities are amazing. Also, I plan on making visits to Illinois, Michigan State and a few others."
As a junior, Easterly had three interceptions, 15 break-ups and four fumble recoveries.
