App State keeping an eye on Thomas

When the Appalachian State coaching staff looks at areas of need for the 2010 class, they will likely point toward the defensive tackle position. One prospect that has been making a name for himself throughout the spring combines and camps is Wadesboro (N.C.) Anson High tackle Tra Thomas.

Thomas, who was recently measured at 6-foot, 266 pounds during the Shrine Bowl combine at Butler High School, has been impressing camp coaches and scouts alike at every event he has participated in. Word has gotten back to a handful of schools, and as a result, Thomas' recruitment has picked up.
