Milton Knox coming on strong

Redshirt freshman running back, Milton Knox is coming on during the later part of spring and had a very good scrimmage last Friday that reminded those who saw him perform in high school of the back who holds most of the Los Angeles City Section rushing records.

BruinBlitz.com talked to Knox after a recent practice to get his thoughts on the battle for running back, which is one of the most competitive positions on the team.

BruinBlitz.com: You are involved in a very intense battle for carries and touches with a group of pretty talented backs. How do you feel you are lining up so far?

Knox: "I feel like I started off slow, but now I'm starting to come along, taking control of the offense, being able to know what I am doing. At first I felt that I was just running out there like a chicken with his head cut off, but now I understand what I am doing and I understand the plays. Now I am able to just play and not think about it and during Friday's scrimmage I was just able to be myself and not think too much because when spring first started I was thinking too much. I have to pick up this, I have to pick up that instead of just playing football and doing what I do best and make plays. That's what I did on Friday."
