Hoover WR now up to seven offers

Three-star wide receiver Maudrecus Humphrey is now up to seven scholarship offers.

The Hoover, Ala., standout and son of former NFL running back Bobby Humphrey picked up three new offers of late including two from the Southeastern Conference.

"Recruiting has been going good but it's been really, really quiet the past couple of weeks," Humphrey said. "Nothing is really happening. Other than that, things are going really good for me. I recently got offers from Ole Miss, Louisville and Kentucky. I kinda wasn't expecting all of this. Last year was my first year playing varsity so I wasn't sure how it was going to be. It's turned out pretty well for me."

The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder currently has offers on the table from Mississippi State, UAB, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Ole Miss and Southern Miss. Humphries also has a pair of favorites from his growing list.

"I like Arkansas and Ole Miss right now," Humphrey said. "I like them a lot. There's not really a reason why, I've just watched Arkansas play and I've always liked them from the start."

Another SEC program that Humphries is learning more about is Mississippi State. The Bulldogs offered Humphries back during the spring, causing him to take more notice in their program.
