Musings on training camp

With training camp less than two weeks away, many Bruin fans have had their thoughts turning toward football and what the season may bring. There has been an upgrade in talent, but it is young and there are questions, mainly the same ones that have pestered this program for the last three years.

Like in the recent past, UCLA's success will depend on how the quarterback and the offensive line functions together as a unit. The other skill positions look to be in good hands and that gives UCLA fans a reason to be prudently optimistic.

Bruin fans need to be patient as the offensive line comes together. The good news is there will be an infusion of young talent that will push the veterans on the line creating depth and competition to a level that this program hasn't had in long time.

There should be intense competition during training camp because there should be three open starting spots along the offensive front.
