The 2009-10 championship season continues at the Creek and the conference continues to display its strength in autumn sports as two conference teams advanced to the Sweet 16 at the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship.

The conference announced the scholar-athletes of the year in autumn sports.

The updated 2008-09 Director's Cup standings were released and three Pac-10 schools were in the top 10 - Oregon, Washington and 15-time defending champ Stanford.

Meanwhile, at NCAA HQ, USC claimed another championship for the conference, this time in men's water polo with a victory over rival UCLA in the championship match.





California

In football, the Bears will play Utah in the Poinsettia Bowl.



Arizona

In football, the Wildcats will play Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl.



WSU

In volleyball, the Cougars lost to Northern Iowa in the first round of the NCAA tournament and finished the season at 18-13 overall.

In women's hoop, the Cougars lost to Saint Mary's but defeated Wyoming to move to 3-4 overall on the season.

In men's hoop, the Cougars lost to Kansas State to fall to 6-2 overall on the year.



UCLA

In football, defensive lineman Brian Price was named as the conference's defensive player of the year.



Washington

In men's hoop, senior forward Quincy Pondexter was named as the conference's player of the week.



Oregon State

In football, the Beavers will play BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl.



Oregon

In football, the Ducks will play Ohio State in the Granddaddy of them all, the Rose Bowl and head coach Chip Kelly was named as the conference's Coach of the Year.



Stanford

In football, senior running back Toby Gerhart was named as the conference's offensive player of the year.



USC

In football, USC will play Boston College in the Emerald Bowl.



Arizona State

In football, running back Ryan Bass intends to transfer.
