The Starting Five

The Starting Five makes its return to PowerMizzou.com. A player's ranking one week has no bearing on his placement on the list the next week. This is our list of the five Tigers who had, in our opinion, the best week in the Tigers' wins over Texas and Nebraska:

The Starting Five
1 Zaire Taylor, G After hitting five of six free throws for nine points against Texas, Taylor exploded for a season-high 18 and eight rebounds against Nebraska. 5
2 Keith Ramsey, F Ramsey had a career night with 12 points and 11 boards against Texas. He wasn't quite so prolific against the Huskers, but scored four and grabbed seven rebounds. NR
3 Kim English, F English was huge with 18 against Texas-including a defining stretch early in the second half-and followed it up with a solid if unspectacular game at Nebraska, scoring eight against the Huskers. 4
4 Marcus Denmon, G Denmon started slow with just one bucket against the Longhorns, but he certainly made up for it. A career-high 24 included five three-pointers against Nebraska. NR
5 Laurence Bowers, F Bowers wasn't great, but was good for stretches in both games, ending up with a 10.5 point average for the week. He hit 8 of his 13 shots in the two games combined. 3
