Fulse talks recruiting, Auburn

One of the most highly sought after athletes in the country is Fort Meade (Fla.) tight end Brandon Fulse.

Fulse, a recently named member of the Rivals250 coming in as the no. 156 overall player in the nation, is still taking the process in stride.

The 6-foot-4, 247-pound prospect just got back from the Florida State camp in Tallahassee, and said he enjoyed himself.

"I just came from the Florida State camp, it went pretty good," Fulse said. "There were some good players there."

With over 24 offers to choose from, Fulse has no shortage of options. He added West Virginia and Tennessee back in May, and was planning to make visits to as many as 15-20 schools over the summer.

Fulse already visited Florida and Florida State earlier in the spring before making a trip to Auburn a few weeks back, attending Big Cat Weekend on the Plains.

Fulse said it was a chance to meet the coaches, and hang around some good players, including one former teammate.

"It went pretty good, I spent time with the coaches," Fulse said. "It was good spending time with them. My former teammate Onterio McCalebb took me out, that was nice. It was nice having a former teammate that I could relate to with Auburn."

Auburn offensive line coach Jeff Grimes is helping recruit Fulse to Auburn. Fulse called coach Grimes, "a very, very cool guy."

With so many options, Fulse is still trying to keep everyone equal as of now, but admits he will have to narrow it down soon.

"I'm just keeping everyone the same right now, I like them all a lot," Fulse said. "This past weekend I went to Florida State, and that has them up there a little bit now.

"I'm just trying to get a feel for the coaches and the environment because I'll have to be there the next four years of my life."

While Fulse did say Auburn was, "up there," he also maintains he doesn't plan a decision anytime soon.

Fulse has set a tentative date for his announcement.

"I've thought about November 3rd," Fulse said. "That is my aunt's birthday, she passed recently."

Fulse did say he would, "most likely," be in Auburn this fall for an official visit, although no official date has been set.

As a junior, Fulse caught 17 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns.
