Triple double for Chris Singleton - FSU wins 93-73

GREENSBORO, N.C.(AP) Chris Singleton had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Florida State beat North Carolina-Greensboro 97-73 on Sunday.

Okaro White and Michael Snaer had 16 points apiece for the Seminoles. They shot 51 percent (35 of 68), hit seven 3-pointers and never trailed in starting 2-0 for the sixth straight year.

Florida State had 20 steals and turned 26 UNC Greensboro turnovers into 32 points.

David Williams scored 16 points and Aloysius Henry added 15 for UNC Greensboro (0-2). The Spartans fell to 1-33 against Atlantic Coast Conference teams.

Florida State scored the game's first six points as part of a 17-6 opening run, a burst capped by White's layup barely 7 minutes in. Luke Loucks' 3-pointer with 10 1/2 minutes left in the half made it 22-10 and put the Seminoles up by double figures to stay.

Singleton had 13 points in the first half for Florida State, which led 46-29 at halftime and kept the Spartans winless against one of the nation's toughest schedules.

UNC Greensboro faces seven teams from the ACC, and four of those will come to the Greensboro Coliseum - which for the second straight year will play host to the league tournament.

Cody Henegar added 12 points for UNC Greensboro, which fell to 15-5 in home openers since moving to Division I. The Spartans forced 21 turnovers and turned them into 20 points.

Derwin Kitchen finished with 11 points for Florida State, which improved to 3-0 in the series. The teams met for the first time since 1995.

Next up for Florida State is a home tilt with Gardner-Webb this Tuesday (11/16) with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 pm.
