SUN BELT
Louisiana-Monroe QB Kolton Browning was 18-of-23 for 247 yards and five touchdowns in a 49-37 win over North Texas. He also rushed for 73 yards on 16 carries.
WAC
Boise State WR Titus Young caught eight passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns in a 51-0 rout of Fresno State.
INDEPENDENTS
Navy QB Ricky Dobbs rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries in a 35-19 victory over Arkansas State. He also threw for 164 yards and a touchdown.

Illinois tailback Mikel Leshoure made certain the first football game at Wrigley Field in 40 years would be known for more than just an awkward end zone situation.

He rushed for 330 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries Saturday in a win over Northwestern to make Illinois bowl eligible. Leshoure, who is from Champaign (Ill.) Centennial, set Illinois' single-game rushing record to earn Rivals.com National Player of the Week honors.

It was the fifth-highest rushing total in Big Ten history and the most in the Big Ten since Penn State's Larry Johnson rushed for 327 against Indiana in 2002.

NATIONAL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Wisconsin RB James White

At some point, Wisconsin's state trademark will cease to be cheese. That's because the Badgers produce running backs at a more impressive clip.

With John Clay out of the line up the past two games, White and sophomore Montee Ball have carried the load. White was the big-play back Saturday against Michigan with 181 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. White's touchdown runs covered 61 and 23 yards.

White is a true freshman from powerhouse Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas; he missed the Purdue game on Nov. 6, but he has rushed for 335 yards in the past two games.

NATIONAL COORDINATOR OF THE WEEK
Oregon State's Mark Banker

USC is not itself this season, but at least the Trojans have been able to count on an effective offense led by quarterback Matt Barkley. Even in a down season, though, Oregon State still has a hex on USC in Corvallis.

Banker's defense held USC to its lowest point total since 2001, defeating the Trojans 36-7. Oregon State held USC to 255 total yards. Barkley didn't play in the second half because of an ankle injury, and he was limited to 75 passing yards in the first half, when the Trojans were held scoreless.
